Other DPS Locations (PCIFs)

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) has multiple Division of Personnel Security (DPS) offices across the United States, in addition to the NIH Bethesda Main Campus. Like the NIH Bethesda Main Campus Offices, each of the facilities listed below are NIH PIV Card Issuance Facilities (PCIFs). Please visit the tabs on the left to see more information on each of our NIH PCIFs.

Note: Please arrive at your location at least 30 minutes earlier to give yourself time to go through the security screening. Please be ready to display your appointment confirmation upon your arrival. Individuals must present a Federal or State issued REAL ID compliant form of identification to access any NIH campus to complete credentialing appointments. Individuals without the acceptable form of identification will not be allowed to enter the NIH campus and will need to reschedule their appointment.

NIH Satellite PCIFs Outside the Washington, D.C. Metro Area:

Please Note: Full Remote HSPD-12 PIV/RLA Enrollment and Badge Issuance services have been discontinued until further notice. In order to receive the full HSPD-12 PIV/RLA Enrollment and Badge Issuance services, individuals may visit one of the NIH PCIFs listed above.

FieldPrint:

FieldPrint is a remote third party that DPS uses to capture an individual's fingerprints required for the sole purpose of running an FBI criminal history check for Prescreening before an individual is cleared for a badge. Fieldprint has over 1,300 stationary sites across all 50 states within the nation. This allows individuals to choose from Fieldprint's remote locations that may be more accommodating. Please note: Fieldprint is not an NIH PIV Card Issuance Facility (PCIF) and does NOT offer HSPD-12 Enrollment and Badge Issuance services. Individuals who use Fieldprint will still be required to travel to and complete Badge Enrollment and Badge Issuance at an NIH PCIF. For more information on Fieldprint, please visit our Fingerprint Services section.

PIN Resets:

Individuals needing a PIN reset can do so at a Lifecycle Work Station or one of the PCIFs listed above. To do a PIN reset at a Program Support Center (PSC) location, please visit our PIN Resets page under Badge Services.

Certificate Renewals:

There are three options that PIV card holders can choose from to renew their digital certificates. For more information, please visit our Renewing Digital Certificates and ID Badges page under Badge Services.
