Investigative Requirements for Individuals Working with Children

Per the Crime Control Act of 1990, individuals who have regular contact with children as part of their official job duties at NIH are required to complete additional investigative checks (Child Care Law Checks).

Individuals who work with children will receive an email from our office requesting that they complete additional forms and/or ink fingerprinting. Please take advantage of your visit to our office or Enrollment appointment to complete these requirements.

Child Care Investigation Forms:

The Child Care Law Checks are mandatory for individuals who are working with children. DPS will not authorize prescreening clearance or access to NIH facilities until the Child Care Law Check requirements have been submitted to our office.
