Chemical Surveillance Programs

The NIH has established surveillance programs for various chemicals in order to evaluate employee airborne exposures. Surveillance programs have been established for Formaldehyde (29 CFR 1910.1048), Waste Anesthetic Gases and Ethylene Oxide (29 CFR 1910.1047).
These programs are maintained by the Technical Assistance Branch (TAB) of the Division of Occupational Health and Safety (DOHS).
