H-1B Specialty Occupation Workers Sponsored by NIH
The H-1B program applies to employers seeking to hire nonimmigrant aliens as workers in specialty occupations. A specialty occupation is one that requires the application of a body of highly specialized knowledge and the attainment of at least a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent.
DIS requires evidence of doctoral degree for H-1B sponsorship. Only FTE (Full-Time Equivalent) positions at NIH are eligible for H-1B sponsorship.
