H-1B Orientation
Foreign researchers in the NIH Visiting Program, who have just arrived at NIH in H-1B status, or who have been at NIH and recently acquired H-1B status, should have already been registered to attend an H-1B Orientation. If you were unable to attend the orientation on your assigned date, please email DIS@mail.nih.gov to register for an available session.
Sessions run from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm on these dates:

J-1 Orientation
The
J-1 Orientation provides foreign national scientists with important information they need for their time in J-1 status at the NIH, including information on maintaining J-1 status, travel, and dependents.
New NIH-sponsored foreign national scientists in J-1 status will automatically be registered for the next J-1 Orientation after DIS processes their check-in documents. If you were unable to attend the orientation on your assigned date, please email
