How To Submit Cases And Documents To DIS
Effective July 05, 2021, DIS Case Submission SharePoint will be the ONLY acceptable case/document submission option for NIH administrative staff. DIS will no longer accept documentation sent via SEFT by administrative staff from that date.

There are two options to submit cases and documents to DIS for Visiting Program (VP) participants and Contractors. Choose a submission option and refer to the relevant dropdown below.

  1. DIS Case Submission SharePoint (NIH AO access only):
New Administrative Officers (AOs) must ask their Lead AO to request DIS SharePoint access. Requests can be emailed to DIS@mail.nih.gov. Submit documents in a single PDF, not a PDF portfolio. Use this template for file name: New/Renewal – Designation – LAST NAME, First Name (Example: New VF – SMITH, John)

  2. Secure Email and File Transfer Service (SEFT):
Submit to DIS@mail.nih.gov. Use this subject line: Date of Submission – New/Renewal – Designation – LAST NAME, First Name. (Example: 04-01-2021 – New VF – SMITH, John)
