​DVR supports centralized animal health surveillance programs by monitoring NIH animal colonies. The program includes animal and sample testing for various agents via parasitology, serology, bacteriology, and PCR assays. The lab also supports sample submission to a contract laboratory for serology and PCR testing for a wide range of agents. Cell line testing for infectious agents is also available at the contract laboratory.
