RMB Services

Provides administrative and operational oversight of key components of the NIH Radiation Safety Program, supporting regulatory compliance and the safe use of radioactive materials and sources of ionizing radiation.
Manages the NIH sealed source program, personnel and environmental dosimetry, and radioactive sample analysis to support radiation monitoring and control activities.
Oversees radioactive material package receipt and processing, irradiator security, and radioactive waste operations to support the safe handling, control, and disposition of radioactive materials.
Supports the Radiation Safety Committee (RSC) in providing institutional oversight of the NIH Radiation Safety Program and ensuring compliance with Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) requirements.
Complements area health physics activities by providing the internal operational infrastructure and services that support safe and compliant use of radioactive materials across the NIH research community.
