Please note EAP services are offered virtually, via telephone or in-person at the EAP office, to accommodate all NIH clients, regardless of their location.


If you have an inquiry about the NIH Employee Assistance Program, please call the office directly at (301) 496-3164. The office hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday through Thursday, and 7:30am to 4:00pm on Friday.


If you are experiencing a mental health crisis after hours, please call 911 or go to your closest emergency room. You may also call or text the Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 988.


If you need urgent support, after hours, from the NIH Occupational Medical Service, please call 301-496-1211 and ask the operator to speak with the OMS physician on -call.
