DVR's veterinary pathology service investigates the cause of unexpected mortality and morbidity affecting any of the animal species utilized in the NIH intramural program. Gross necropsy and histopathology are routinely performed. Transmission electron microscopy and immunohistochemistry are available on a selective basis. Collaborative pathology support is available on a limited basis with prior arrangement.
