The Division of Radiation Safety MUST BE CONTACTED IMMEDIATELY for spills meeting the reporting criteria for radioactive spills and contamination, or for ANY personnel conta​mination incident occurring during or after working hours. ​

On-campus laboratory emergencies (i.e., fires, radioactive spills, contamination incidents)

  • Call 911  

  • Ask for Radiation Safety assistance 

 

Off-campus emergencies (i.e., radiological incidents in satellite buildings) 

  • Call 9-911 to reach the local Fire Department 

 

Clinical emergencies (i.e., patient care or patient specimen guidance)  

  • Call Clinical Center (301) 496-1211  

  • Ask for Radiation Safety assistance
