DIS offers customized training on topics such as case preparation, designations that involve patient contact, and more! To request training for your Institute/Center, submit a Request for DIS Customized Training form to DIS@mail.nih.gov.

We also hold regular training events for scientists which administrative staff are welcome to attend! Let us know if you would like to sit in on our next J-1 or H-1B orientation, 212(e) Seminar, or Tax Seminar to better understand foreign scientists' experience and requirements. 

DIS Seminar Series

DIS holds a Seminar Series designed to support administrative staff in their work with the Visiting Program. Through this series, we provide information, resources, and best practices related to DIS processes and compliance. Sessions focus on practical, up-to-date information to help staff navigate complex topics in partnership with DIS​.

Pop Up Sessions

Our newest service! DIS offers pop-up advising sessions for administrative staff at different locations on the Bethesda campus. These sessions are planned and announced on short notice, so keep an eye on emails from DIS sent through the Key Contact listserv. Come to a pop-up session and ask us any questions related to case preparation or your foreign national scientist population!  Contact us at DIS@mail.nih.gov to request a pop-up advising session in your building or for your team.
