14th Annual Take a Hike Day

Grab a co-worker or two and lace up your walking shoes. What better way to take a break from all of the hustle and bustle than to go for a leisurely stroll or jog around the perimeter of the NIH campus (total distance of 3.25 miles).

Please Note: This is not a timed event or competition. Everyone who participates in the event is a winner.

This event is sponsored by the NIH Office of Management in partnership with the Office of Research Services, Division of Amenities and Transportation Services, and the NIH Recreation and Welfare Association.

It's that time once again to grab a worker or two and lace up your walking shoes.

The NIH Office of Management and the Office of Research Services, Division of Amenities and Transportation Services invites all NIH employees and contractors to participate in a
non-competitive Walk/Fun Run.

    Off-Campus Take a Hike Day Routes

    Are you located off-campus and would like to participate in the Walk/Fun Run? Not a problem! Individuals unable to attend the event on campus can still grab a co-worker or two and Take a Hike at one of the these satellite locations.

    Show Your Team Spirit and Sponsor a Water Table Station

    Picture of Water Table StationWe supply the tables and water - you supply the decorations and cheerleaders. Bring your signs and pompoms and form your cheering section at one of the five (5) perimeter water table stations. Tables will be assigned on a first come first served basis.
