Quality Assurance

The purpose of quality assurance in the area of acquisitions is to ensure an organization of the Federal Government receives goods and services as specified in contracts at the required performance and service level.

The OQM assists ORS and ORF organizations in acquiring goods and services as specified in contracts through the development and implementation of effective and efficient quality assurance surveillance plans (QASP).

Effective Quality Assurance reduces the Government's risk associated with obtaining products and services needed through a systematic review of the contractor's processes and deliverables to ensure compliance with the terms and conditions as agreed upon in a contract.
