Directions/Parking Information

  • If you are a visitor traveling onto NIH Campus using your vehicle, you must enter through NIH's Visitor Vehicle Entrance (see Campus Map to the right). There is paid parking at the Gateway Parking Garage there (MLP 11).
  • If you are taking the subway or walking onto NIH Campus, you will need to enter through NIH's Gateway Visitor Center (see Campus Map to the right).

Once you have gone through the Gateway Visitor Center security screening (via pedestrian or vehicle inspection), you can either:

  1. Walk north along South Drive and merge onto Center Drive until you arrive at Building 31.

  2. Catch the Red Line shuttle to Building 31 (see the Red Line Shuttle Schedule here). The waiting area for the Red Line shuttle is just inside the campus gate. There are signs posted and the guards can direct you. In the Red Line Shuttle Schedule, “Metro" is your starting point. Two stops later will take you to Building 31.

When you enter through the front sliding doors of Building 31, you will see a long hallway slightly on your right. Walk down that hallway all the way to the end and make a left into Room 1B03.
