Join us in recognizing an outstanding team response to a call for service by the NIH Division of Police.
On September 19, 2025, a NIH police officer was dispatched to the Gateway Inspection Center on the NIH Main Campus for what appeared to be a routine ID verification. During the check, the officer discovered that the subject had an outstanding warrant for arrest. Acting swiftly and safely, the officer called for backup and the team took the subject into custody. The individual was safely transported to the Montgomery County Detention Center for processing.
