We've all been there: dashing out the door, juggling bags, tickets, and travel snacks as we hurry to make a holiday flight. Then, somewhere over the country, that nagging thought hits:
What did I forget? The dog is at the kennel… the front door is locked…
the oven?
Fortunately for one NIH resident, the NIH Division of Police were on duty and ready to serve this Thanksgiving. At the resident's request, an officer responded to her apartment, checked the unit and confirmed that the oven was safely turned off. With everything secure, the resident was able to enjoy her holiday trip without worrying about what might be waiting back home.
Even on Thanksgiving Day our officers stand ready to deliver a sense of safety and peace of mind.
Happy Holidays NIH!
