Mr. David B. Cumber II

Mr. David B. Cumber II. began his career with the National Institutes of Health, (NIH), Division of Police (DP) October 2005 as an Emergency Services Dispatcher (ESD).  Mr. Cumber brought with him a wealth of knowledge and skills in the field of public safety and emergency service. Prior to NIH, ESD Cumber worked for the Office of Unified Communications in Washington, DC and at his alma mater, Norfolk State University, where Mr. Cumber was a student intern in a program sponsored by the Norfolk State Police Department. His vast experience has assisted him to be a helpful leader in accommodating his colleagues. ESD Cumber is a Certified Training Officer (CTO) as well as a Shop Steward for AFGE-2419 and continues to work with others to help foster a more amicable work environment.  

Mr. Cumber's commitment to exceptional and responsible service is displayed in his daily interactions with the NIH community. His perpetual determination and strong personal commitment to public safety and security, for every facet of our community, is what makes him an invaluable asset to the NIH Division of Police.
