Wilson Drive/Rockville Pike Reduced Access from June 4 to July 20 for Construction

The NIH will replace vehicle barriers at the Wilson Drive entrance off of Rockville Pike (MD355) beginning Monday, June 4, 2018. This work will require the entrance to have restricted access from Monday, June 4 through Friday, July 20.

The construction will be conducted in two major phases. In general, during both phases, Wilson Drive will be used for inbound traffic during the morning and early afternoon, and outbound traffic during the afternoon and evening. During both phases, the sidewalk and pedestrian gate will remain open for normal pedestrian access.

Phase 1: 6/4/2018 – 7/1/2018.

6:00am – 2:00pm: Inbound lanes used for inbound traffic only. (No outbound traffic).

2:00pm – 8:00pm: Traffic briefly detoured through inbound lanes for outbound traffic only. (No inbound traffic)

Phase 2: 7/2/2018 – 7/20/2018.

6:00am – 2:00pm: Outbound lanes used for inbound traffic only (No outbound traffic).
