FedsWISH Walk, September 26 through September 30, 2022
Feds Walk in Support of Health and Hunger Relief (FedsWISH) and Feds Feed Families invite you to champion efforts to address health challenges and end hunger in the U.S.
FedsWISH is a government-wide initiative in support of USDA's Feds Feed Families initiative and the 2022 White House Conference on Hunger, Nutrition, and Health. Through this initiative, the Federal workforce will mobilize to inspire their local communities to engage in healthy behavior and champion local and national efforts to end hunger.
Want to participate in the 5-day FedsWISH Walk? Here's how.
- From September 26 through September 30, undertake a two-mile or 30-minute walk, roll, or other activity event from your work location—wherever it may be (office, home, etc.).
- On September 29, between 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. ET, in coordination with your supervisor to ensure work coverage, mobilize with other federal employees for a 30-minute walk wearing the color orange.
- Employees located in the District of Columbia metro area will start at the Lincoln Memorial. The winner of the Cutest DMV Pet Contest will serve as Grand Marshall.
- Remote employees or employees located outside of the District of Columbia metro area are encouraged to participate in their local communities and share pictures on the FFF Hub using the hashtag #FedsWISH.
