Bethesda Main Campus Testing of Pedestrian Portals and Vehicle Entry Points on Friday, July 28

The NIH Security and Emergency Response staff is planning to conduct routine testing of all Bethesda main campus pedestrian portals (sally ports) and vehicle entry control points between 10:00am and 12:00pm, tomorrow, Friday, July 28. This testing may mean each vehicle and pedestrian entrance/exit may be individually closed for a 15-minute period on a rotating basis during the two-hour testing period. The test is designed to be minimally intrusive by taking advantage of Friday's low campus population and working outside peak traffic periods.

The NIH Police and other security and emergency response personnel will be present while testing is ongoing to assist with directions for staff and visitors. If staff have questions about this testing, please contact the Division of Emergency Management at 301-496-1985 or orsdem@mail.nih.gov.

Thank you for your support as the NIH conducts routine testing vital to ensuring the safety and security of our staff, patients and visitors on the NIH Bethesda main campus.
