The 2026 NIH Take Your Child to Work Day (TYCTWD) – Activity Registration Phase 2 opens tomorrow, April 7 at 12:00 PM ET (noon) on the Take Your Child to Work Registration Site.
At that time, you will be able to register an additional two (2) limited space activities per child. Choose from "open" (no registration required) and "limited space" (registration required) activities. Open activities do not require registration. There are many limited space activities that have available slots.
Registration deadline - Activity registration will remain open through Thursday, April 23, the day of the event.
Other important information:
- Student Service Learning (SSL) volunteer activities DO NOT count as a limited activity.
- High school students may register for up to three (3) volunteer activities.
- Be prepared - If an activity is full, check back periodically – spaces may open if someone unregisters.
- Review Your Child's Schedule - Pay attention to whether activities are in-person, virtual, or pre-recorded to avoid scheduling conflicts.
- Confirm Activity Locations - Some in-person activities may be off the main Bethesda campus, so be sure to plan for travel time.
- Supervisor Approval - Please check with your supervisor regarding your ICO policy for participating in TYCTWD.
- Earth Day Activities - Set aside time to visit Earth Day activities in front of Building 1. No registration is required.
