West Drive Vehicle Entrance Temporarily Closed Due to Emergency Repairs

The West Drive vehicle entrance on the Bethesda Main Campus is currently closed, Wednesday, May 27, 2026, due to a mechanical issue requiring emergency repairs. The Office of Research Facilities is evaluating the situation and an update will be shared upon its reopening.

While repair efforts are underway, patients and patient visitors should use the Gateway Drive vehicle entrance, which will remain open until the West Drive entrance reopens or until the 10PM ET normal closing time. For hours of operations for all entrances and exits, please visit the employee access map. 

Staff with patients arriving today are advised to alert them of this change.
