On Wednesday, October 30, Wilson Drive will temporarily close from 11:00 AM to 1:25 PM for the “Annual NEI 5K Walk/Run/Roll" event. For the safety of the participants, the NIH Police will assist with traffic control during the event. Please pay careful attention to pedestrians around this time.

Activities start at 10:30 AM with a Halloween Contest, Demonstrations follow at 11:00 AM, the Warm-up Begins at 11:45 AM and Welcome Remarks at 12:10 PM. The Run/Walk/Roll will begin promptly at 12:10 PM. Runners and walkers will proceed down Wilson Drive to the NIH perimeter pedestrian pathway, turn right on Rockville Pike, and circle the campus. Please always keep your NIH ID with you to get back on the campus at the conclusion of the run/walk/roll.
Please pay careful attention to any route signage and volunteers as you proceed around the campus perimeter. Again, please keep your NIH ID with you so you can re-enter the campus.
