Pedestrian Entrance Behind NIH Gateway Center Remains Closed Until January 19

As a reminder, the pedestrian entrance located on the upper level behind the NIH Gateway Visitor Center continues to be closed until Wednesday, January 19, 2022. During the closure, the pedestrian gates are being upgraded to meet accessibility standards. While this entrance is being upgraded, when going to the south side of campus, the nearest pedestrian entrance is located just off South Drive near the shuttle stop, until the Gateway Center re-opens after renovations on December 20.

Parts of sidewalks immediately leading up to the gate will also be under construction. Once completed, the upgrades, including new signage with easy-to-understand instructions, will make it fully accessible as well as more user-friendly to operate.

The Office of Research Facilities appreciates your patience and understanding as they complete this essential upgrade to NIH facilities.
