The NIH is proud to announce that the NIH Farmers Market
will return to the Building 31A Patio on Tuesday, May 13, from 10am – 2pm. The
market will take place every Tuesday through the end of October.
In addition to baked goods, fruits and vegetables, this
year’s market will feature a variety of new merchants. Some new items for sale
will include extra virgin olive oils, barrel-aged wine vinegars from Napa
Valley and 18-year-old balsamic vinegars from Italy, handcrafted bath and body
care products and cleaning supplies, teas and roasted nuts. The Recreation and
Welfare Association (R&W) is hoping to add a few more merchants.
Please be aware that some merchants will not be attending
the market every Tuesday, so check with the merchant or the R&W prior to
the market. Additionally, on Tuesday, June 10, and any Tuesday that it rains,
the market will relocate to under the awning in front of Building 31A.
This program is sponsored by the Office of Research
Services, Division of Amenities and Transportation Services and the NIH
Recreation and Welfare Association.
