NIH At-Home Antigen Testing Pilot Program - More Staff Eligible for Online Ordering

The NIH is pleased to announce an additional opportunity to participate in the voluntary At-Home Antigen Testing Pilot Program. A limited quantity of rapid COVID-19 tests are in stock now for online ordering for certain Return to Physical Workplace (RTPW) Groups.
Who is Eligible and When
Current eligibility includes all NIH staff (employees, contractors, trainees, tenants, etc.) who are assigned to any onsite RTPW Group* and have not received tests from this program after April 4, 2022. Starting at 10:00 AM ET on Monday, June 6, eligible staff can use the link below to place a one-time online order for 10 tests.
*Staff with RTPW Group designations of Remote Worker (RW), To Be Determined (TBD), and Not Applicable (N/A) are not currently eligible.
How to Order if You Meet the Above Criteria
If you meet the criteria above, you may place your online order by completing the NIH test kit order form using your home address, while supplies last. You will need to provide your 10-digit NIH ID number found on the back of your badge (PIV card). Orders may not be canceled since they are processed immediately and are normally delivered within 3 business days. You may only place one order.
If you are unsure of your RTPW Group, you can view your designated group by logging into the NED Portal (network access or VPN required). On the left menu, click on “Self Service - Update My Record” and scroll down to the Work Information section.
Use of the Tests and If You Test Positive
The test kits are for work-related use only, and resale is strictly prohibited. These tests DO NOT qualify to meet testing requirements for onsite staff who are not fully vaccinated in areas with medium or high community levels. You should only take the test at home before coming to work and be sure to follow the instructions provided with your test carefully. For guidance on what to do if you receive a positive test result, please visit the NIH COVID-19 Safety Plan
Why You Should Participate and How to Get Help
This program is part of NIH’s continued efforts to mitigate workplace transmission of COVID-19, serving as a supplement to the onsite Asymptomatic Testing Services. As of today, over 450 NIH staff have reported a positive result using the at-home Antigen Test kits prior to coming into their workplace – keeping our workplace safe for others.
If you have any questions about the testing process or test results, contact the NIH Occupational Medical Services Call Center at 301-480-8990 (Monday – Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. ET).
