Deliveries for Construction of New MLP-12 Parking Garage Starting July 24

S​tarting Friday, July 24, 2026, the Bethesda Main Campus will start receiving 10-12 oversized deliveries per day related to the construction of the new MLP-12 Parking Garage located on the previous Lot 42 site on the southwest side of campus. These deliveries will take place Mondays through Fridays, from 7 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. ET and will continue through the end of October 2026.map.png

Each oversized delivery truck will enter at the Center Drive/Rockville Pike entrance and undergo a thorough security check. One lane at the Center Drive entrance will also be reserved for staff to mitigate entry delays. Trucks will exit via South Drive/Rockville Pike.

Flaggers will be stationed along the delivery route to guide trucks, pedestrians and other vehicles. Staff are encouraged to practice caution and yield to the direction of these safety staff. A small gravel employee parking lot adjacent to Medlars Drive near Building 38 (Lister Hill) will be temporarily unavailable during the delivery period.

Shuttle service and pedestrian access will not be affected by these deliveries. For regular hours of operations for all entrances and exits, please visit our employee access map.
