Due to a crane again blocking a portion of Lincoln Drive near Building 35, Lincoln Drive from Old Georgetown Road to Convent Drive will be closed on Saturday and Sunday, April 27 - 28. Instead, the South Drive/Old Georgetown Road entrance/exit will open from 6am – 4pm on Saturday and Sunday. On Monday, April 29, Lincoln Drive reopens and both locations revert to their normal weekday schedule.
For a complete list of the hours of operation for other entrances/exits, please visit the NIH Employee Access Map. Additional information about upcoming changes, including suggestions on where to park and enter campus based on where you live and work and the most up-to-date information related to parking, traffic and associated construction are available on the NIH Traffic website.
The use of cranes and the Lincoln Drive closures are related to ongoing renovation work for Building 35. For this weekend, 15 new air handlers are being installed on the roof of Building 35.
